Sedona, AZ is world renown for its Red Rock splendor, its spiritual power, its movie history, and its good-natured inhabitants. However, Sedona is not the most RV-friendly destination in Arizona. There is just one commercial RV park within the city. No public parking is provided for RVs on the city streets and there are no public water/dump stations.
Not that Sedona doesn't like and welcome RVers and their rigs. It's just that Sedona is a small town surrounded by red rock monuments and National Forest land. There's just not a lot of room for 40' diesel pushers and 36' fifth-wheels with three slide-outs. But don't pass us by! There are places to park your rig in the surrounding area, as well as ample RV services and facilities. You've just gotta know where they are. And that's what this web site is all about.
We've also provided some suggestions as to what to do while you're visiting Sedona.
Up Front! There are two publications which will enhance your Sedona experience a million fold -- and both are absolutely free. The Recreational Guide to Your National Forest, which is available at Forest Service Offices and at various Visitor Information Centers. And Kudos, which is published every Wednesday listing the leisure and entertainment opportunities in Sedona and the Verde Valley --available at New Frontiers Natural Foods in West Sedona and at the Kudos offices: 1730 W. Hwy 89A in West Sedona and 116 S. Main St. in Cottonwood, AZ.
